The Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) Executive Development Center (EDC) of East West University (EWU) arranged a certificate awarding ceremony program for the Graduate Diploma in Leather and Footwear Management students. The ceremony was held on 03 July 2021 on an online platform zoom. The Finance Division, Ministry of Finance of Government of Bangladesh, with the help of development partners, is implementing SEIP with the support of EWU. The primary purpose of the Graduate Diploma program is to increase the efficiency of the managers through scaling up skills and productivity of the existing managers in the leather and footwear industries in Bangladesh.

Among others, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdur Rouf Talukder, Senior Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance & National Project Director (NPD), Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP), Government of Bangladesh, as Chief Guest. Mr. Md. Zahidul Haque, Additional Secretary and Executive Project Director (EPD), Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP), Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh, and Mr. Md. Saiful Islam, President, Leathergoods & Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB), as Special Guests. The program was chaired by Professor Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice-Chancellor, EWU, and Advisor, EDC, SEIP, EWU. Professor Dr. Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, Director, Executive Development Center EDC, SEIP, EWU, addressed welcome remarks on this occasion.  A large number of students and teachers were also present at the ceremony.
